Flobamora
is a popular term
for
the province of East Nusa Tenggara.
it
is an abbreviation
of four largest
islands
in the province namely Flores, Sumba, Timor, and Alor. The province
is an
archipelago which is located between
80-120 south
latitude and from 1180
to 1250 east longitude. Its location makes this province has
a unique and diversely
high value.
Its natural
and cultural heritage
makes it
more colorful.
NTT has natural beauties that have their
own characteristics.
The
phrase "Flobamora: the hidden paradise" said by the head of tourism department of NTT
in term of the sail in 2013 that posted by Victory news, a local newspaper in
NTT. It is a phrase that fits
to describe the
natural beauty of the Flobamora which is still natural and
unspoiled, or not known by many people. East Nusa Tenggara has some of the
tribes and each has its own regional language. In addition there are dances,
poems, songs, local specialty foods, weaving and traditional musical
instruments such as Sasando, etc that includes in the wealth of NTT. Other
cultural heritage can be found here are the megalithic buildings, traditional
villages and ritual ceremonies such as Semana Santa in Larantuka, Pasola in
Sumba, and hunting whales in Lamalera. It’s not
less interesting with
the natural beauty such as lakes kelimutu with 3 colors,
Marine Park in Alor,
17 islands in
Riung, Komodo and the panorama of the beach is so exotic that can be found
in almost areas of this province.
From
all this tourism,
there are some objects that have the name of
NTT like Kelimutu
Lake, Sasando and the most horrendous
is Komodo. Still
warm in our ears, the news of the victory of the Komodo that has been selected to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World (The New 7 Wonders). It is a pride that Komodo can take
NTT and even Indonesia to enter the global competition in terms of tourism. There are many more
potential for natural beauty and culture that can make
people stunned and awed if they see an
exotic feel that is a masterpiece of the
creator.
After
the success of the
election of Komodo as a new 7 wonders of
the world, the government will establish 2013 as
the year for visit Flobamora. This
event was held to promote
the diverse tourism in NTT. This is also done in order to reveal
or show the
beauty that is still hidden in Flobamora. Besides that, this
opportunity can be popularized again Flobamora
name in the world. Excellent! Tourist haven that is hidden will surely unfold. NTT
would be more familiar with the beauty of tourism.
Unexpectedly, NTT is so arid but save so
much wealth of attractions.
It is a pride for the community in Flobamora.
